Dear Friends,
As we are broaching into the Thanksgiving holiday I want to remind us how important it is to have an attitude of gratitude. I am sure all of us have heard the phrase “Attitude is everything.”But many times it’s not what we say but how we say it. That attitude discloses the heart of the person. So it is in the story of the ten lepers and how Jesus healed them and how one returned to give him thanks in Luke 17:11-19. When we read the story, one of the ten leperds was so excited of what had happened he had to go back and thank Jesus for what he had done. The healed leper ran and fell at the feet of Jesus with a thankful and grateful heart. The bible says, “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks.” It was because of his thankful heart God gave him a bonus surprise. I believe not only was this man cleansed and healed of his leprosy but God made him completely whole as though there was no evidence that he ever had it before. Isn’t it amazing that they all had enough faith to receive their own healing but only one choose to come back and thank Jesus. I believe God can restore our lives in the same way. Many of us have gone through unforeseen circumstances that could have destroyed our lives. But because of the mercy and grace of God he brought wholeness to our lives like the thankful leper. The one key that has helped me the most in going through the darkest times in my life has been worshiping and thanking God for his goodness and grace in the middle of the storm. When facing the challenges life brings I believe we have a choice to receive by faith what God wants for us with a thankful heart and attitude of gratitude. I pray you have the most fulfilling Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family, thanking God for his many blessings in all of our lives. I am truly grateful for all of you. Thank you for your faithful support and love offerings we are able to continue to minister in local churches, conferences, women’s bible studies, missions such as sex trafficking abuse and homelessness, counseling, young adult ministries, church plants and providing sponsorship education for children in Honduras. Without your generosity this could not be made possible. Thankfully Yours, Marilyn Dear Friends,
Happy Fall! This is my favorite time of the year. I like the crisp air in the morning, the colorful leaves and entering into a vibrant season. God is beginning to energize the body of Christ like never before. Are you ready to be energized? When we become energized as the body of Christ, imagine what we can do? We will be a kingdom force that none can stop. Signs and wonders follow the believer. The bible says in Mark 16:17-18 (KJV); And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. We have authority in Jesus Christ as a believer. The bible says in Mathew Jesus has all authority and in Luke Jesus gave us that authority. All power was given to Jesus in heaven, earth and below the earth. If he has that power than so do we! The power to heal the sick, raise the dead and set the captives free. It’s important to know Gods word for ourselves. When we are faced with opposition its imperative to find scriptures that can combat evil with Gods power because his word will not return void. It will accomplish the things in our lives that need to be done. The word of God is battling for our victory. My prayer for you this month is found in Ephesians 1:19 (TPT). I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! Because of your support and love offerings we are able to continue to minister in local churches, conferences, women’s bible studies, missions such as sex trafficking abuse and homelessness, counseling, young adult ministries, church plants and providing sponsorship education for children in Honduras. Without your generosity this could not be made possible. In Victory! Love, Marilyn PS. Marilyn Murray Ministries would be honored to speak at your next event. Contact Marilyn for more. New Life - New Beginnings There’s nothing more precious to us than the birth of a new child. For those of you that don’t know my son has blessed me with a new grandson. Ethan Lyle Murray. He was born on August 2, 2019. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. Mother, Dad and Ethan are all doing well. This has been a life changing experience for me. Never have I valued the gift of life and the process of bringing life into the world more than I do today. Are you ready for God to birth something new in you? Isaiah 43:18-19 (TPT) says, “Stop dwelling on the past. Don’t even remember these former things. I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert. If you want something new the most important thing you can do is to spend time in the presence of God, the secret place. The bible says in Psalm 25:14 (TPT) “There’s a private place reserved for the lovers of God, where they sit near him and receive the revelation secrets of his promises.” In that secret place we will find clear direction, peace for today and hope for tomorrow. In the secret place God begins to birth and create new things in our lives. We need to live in the new. We need to begin to prepare for the future by living as if the new is now. In Psalm 139:15 (TPT) it says; “You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something.” Because of your support and love offerings we are able to continue to minister in local churches, conferences, women’s bible studies, missions such as sex trafficking abuse and homelessness, counseling, young adult ministries, church plants and providing sponsorship education for children in Honduras. Without your generosity this could not be made possible. The new is now! Love, Marilyn Dear Ministry Partners,
If you would have told me a month ago that my car and home would have been flooded, my iPhone disabled, and my Facebook temporarily deactivated, I would not have believed you. In that last 30 days all of these things have happened to me. The good news is the Jesus in me has overcome the world. It has caused me to be stronger and to face adversity straight on. When my car was restored from being flooded we found a treasured ring and watch belonging to one of my nephews. I was also able to minister to someone at the car restore company who had recently lost someone very close to them. From the first flooding of my home both of my bathrooms were completely renovated giving it a brand new look. From the second flooding the remaining part of my home is being renovated also. (Thank God for insurance.) From my phone being disabled I learned the importance of having copies of everything. Plus I met amazing people in the process of my phone being restored. I also learned during my Facebook event, I am learning to pray for my enemies that they will repent and turn to God. In the bible it says in Matthew 5:44; “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” God’s word is very clear on how to deal with challenges in our lives. It says in James 1:2-4; “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Life can be tough and storms will come but how we respond to them can make us pitiful or powerful the choice is ours. Choose life because we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Don’t give up! Pressing On, Marilyn PS. Romans 16:20; The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Dear Dreamers, The ministry team and I have just returned from Honduras with some amazing testimonies that I wanted to share with you. One lady was healed from a leg injury that was using a cane. She was prayed for and suddenly the power of God touched her and she left that day no longer needing the cane. We had the privilege to minister in small villages and encouraging the body of Christ. We witnessed young people being motivated and prayed for about their future potential. It was thrilling see many blessed with food. Due to your generosity many families in Honduras are enjoying a hot meal tonight. I can’t thank you enough for your continued support throughout the years. You have helped me, help Honduras. More than ever before in Honduras we are seeing a new generation rising up with hopes and dreams in fulfilling their God given destiny. That is not exclusive to just Hondurans. It is also for you and me. I am sure many of you have dreams and desires that you would like to see happen in your own life. In order to fulfill these we must develop structure mentally, physically and spiritually. For example; motivational podcasts, constantly learning, exercising and spending time with God in prayer and bible reading. It is my heartbeat that you are more inspired to become your ultimate best. Don’t be satisfied with status quo. You are worth the investment of becoming more. Whatever it takes it’s worth the price. Don’t hold back but press in for more. You can do it. The bible says in Philippians 3:14 (KJV) “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Because of your support and love offerings we are able to continue to minister in local churches, conferences, women’s bible studies, missions such as sex trafficking abuse and homelessness, counseling, young adult ministries, church plants and providing sponsorship education for children in Honduras. I believe God is leading his people into one of the greatest times in church history, the greatest time to experience God’s healing and restoration. In the past few months in my travels I have seen people broken hearted, hopeless and alone. It is so easy to mask the pain of shame, the fear of rejection, dealing with the issue of hopelessness and not knowing where to begin. In the face of the unknown we can take our brokenness and leave it at the cross. In the song “Clean,” by Natalie Grant it says; “There’s nothing too dirty that you can’t make worthy. You wash me in mercy. I am clean.” The thought that God can take our sin and wash it clean with his blood is such a message of hope and help. May you receive it for yourself and share it with others. If you find yourself broken know God sees you whole and you are being restored piece by piece. It is beautiful to see Gods’ unconditional love that brings healing and wholeness. The apostle John said “The perfect love of God cast out all fear.” God wants us to be complete and perfect in him. Marilyn Murray Ministries will be returning to Honduras in April partnering with “Love Without Boundaries” and “Glaze Ministries.” Your prayers and financial support are much appreciated as we once again will be God’s hand extended, feeding the poor, healing the sick and winning the lost. I would love to hear the amazing things God is doing in your life. Spring reminds me of new beginnings, like a fresh rain wiping away all of the hurt, pain, disappointments and unbelief from yesterday. Many of you are wanting a fresh new beginning in your own lives. It has been on my heart to encourage each of you to not put a limit on God in your lives. It is so easy to think about what we can accomplish within our own strengths but God is calling us to dream BIG. A big dream to me is something you cannot make happen on your own. God is not a God of coincidences. He is a God who does things purposefully. What is cool is when we do begin to work towards those new beginnings he will add his supernatural to our natural steps. This is where we see the miraculous. I want to share with you some practical things you can do to start those new beginnings. First I encourage you to decide to make the decision in what you want to change in your life. What do you want your life to look like? Then decide what is the first step you can take to help accomplish that. For example; if you want to start an exercise program you could begin walking three times a week for fifteen minutes. The next step I recommend is to stay focused. Write down your dreams to help you stay focused. Read those dreams every day. Just as Habakkuk 2:2 says, Write the vision, and make it plain. Ask God to clarify what those actions should be. Then write them down and begin to implement those actions as God leads. Last but not least never stop learning become a learning center. For example; reading the bible, reading books and listening to motivational pod cast. As you begin to use these practical steps I pray that this time next year you will not be where you are today but you will have so much more. Please know I will be praying for you and believing God for bigger and better things for your life in the days to come. Marilyn Murray Ministries would like to thank you for your prayers and support for our ministry. Because of your generous support and love offerings we are able to continue to minister in local churches, conferences, women’s bible studies, missions, sex trafficking, abuse and homelessness, counseling, young adult ministries, church plants and provide sponsorship education for children in Honduras. The beginning of a new year is always a time for us to evaluate where we are, where we have been and where we are going. We can’t change the past and we don’t know what the future holds but we do have today. My heart’s desire for you is that you live your best life now. I have always said the best is yet to come but I feel like the best is now. We are not promised tomorrow we are only promised today. As a young girl in Cheyenne, Wyoming I remember at night looking out my bedroom window at the city lights, dreaming of my bright future. Through every season of my life, my dreams and goals have continued to evolve, mature and change. There have been seasons in my life where I made wrong choices. In spite of this God rescued me from where I was and helped me get back on track. Even though my life has been good there have been hard times. I’ve had many peaks and valleys even in those times God has restored my soul. Where is God leading you for 2019? Could there be a move involved, making a financial investment, opening a business or having a child? Where ever God is leading you he will always provide. Whatever your goals are let’s not over complicate them. Let’s just do it! God is a God of clarity and direction. He will never lead us into a place that is not good for us. Isaiah 48:17 says, “This is what the Lord says your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.” There are so many reasons why we don’t put actions to our goals. The biggest is fear. It doesn’t matter what the fear is because it can hold you back from being the best you can be. I will be praying for you that in 2019 you will not be afraid to move forward in all that God has for you. That you will accomplish great and mighty things. That you will be prosperous in every area of your life. I am so grateful that you are a part of my life and Marilyn Murray Ministries. Without your generosity this could not be made possible. With My Heartfelt Love, Marilyn Dear Precious Partners, Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year. When I think about Christmas I think of “Giving.” What is giving to you? Giving to me is the act of taking time to give of myself, talents, and my love in a very special way. Recently I had the opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues in Arizona for a health conference. During that time I had the privilege of connecting with a precious woman who I felt the need to pray for. During our time together the Lord ministered to her in a unique way. It was a great honor to be the extended hand of God for that moment in her life. I would like to encourage you to see the heart of God and how you can give to others. In 2 Corinthians 9:15 the bible says; “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” Let us not forgot God gave his most precious gift his only begotten son just for you and me. As we go into this Christmas season and begin a fresh new year. My gift to you is to believe God with and for you to receive clear direction for 2019. As we spend time in the presence of God seeking him, he will give you that rhema word. Matthew 6:33 says; “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you.” Let’s take time to clearly hear and to know our destiny for 2019. Without your generosity this could not be made possible. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, Love Marilyn |
