Dear Friends,
As we are broaching into the Thanksgiving holiday I want to remind us how important it is to have an attitude of gratitude. I am sure all of us have heard the phrase “Attitude is everything.”But many times it’s not what we say but how we say it. That attitude discloses the heart of the person. So it is in the story of the ten lepers and how Jesus healed them and how one returned to give him thanks in Luke 17:11-19. When we read the story, one of the ten leperds was so excited of what had happened he had to go back and thank Jesus for what he had done. The healed leper ran and fell at the feet of Jesus with a thankful and grateful heart. The bible says, “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks.” It was because of his thankful heart God gave him a bonus surprise. I believe not only was this man cleansed and healed of his leprosy but God made him completely whole as though there was no evidence that he ever had it before. Isn’t it amazing that they all had enough faith to receive their own healing but only one choose to come back and thank Jesus. I believe God can restore our lives in the same way. Many of us have gone through unforeseen circumstances that could have destroyed our lives. But because of the mercy and grace of God he brought wholeness to our lives like the thankful leper. The one key that has helped me the most in going through the darkest times in my life has been worshiping and thanking God for his goodness and grace in the middle of the storm. When facing the challenges life brings I believe we have a choice to receive by faith what God wants for us with a thankful heart and attitude of gratitude. I pray you have the most fulfilling Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family, thanking God for his many blessings in all of our lives. I am truly grateful for all of you. Thank you for your faithful support and love offerings we are able to continue to minister in local churches, conferences, women’s bible studies, missions such as sex trafficking abuse and homelessness, counseling, young adult ministries, church plants and providing sponsorship education for children in Honduras. Without your generosity this could not be made possible. Thankfully Yours, Marilyn
